Over the past week we have been lucky enough to host year 10 student Bella Hill from St Mary’s College as she joined us for her work experience.
Bella was placed over our two offices throughout the week and was able to experience what life is like working for a non for profit organisation.
Bella worked closely alongside Receptionist and Admin assistant April Ford (who is also a former St Marys College student) as she learnt all about April’s role and what jobs are involved. Some of these jobs included: greeting customers, invoice processing, emailing processing, making up purchase orders and lastly being taught how to use office equipment (such as the photo copier and booklet binder).
Bella also completed a project of creating a ‘Healing Though Art’ booklet, which involved some designing and selecting healing art colouring pictures which were also used. Bella also made them into a booklet.
These booklets will used as gifts for our KSGAC members throughout the Kimberley.
On behalf of everyone here at KSGAC we would like to say a big thank you to Bella for choosing to come and do her work experience in our office, we have really enjoyed having you as part of our team over this past week and we hope you will come back and visit us from time to time.
