On May 26th-National Sorry Day the Broome Shire buildings will Shine purple to acknowledge and remember the Kimberley Stolen Aboriginal People

The Chinatown Discovery Festival coincides with May 26th National Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week 2019.

The Broome Shire Office and Civic Centre will be lit-up purple on Sorry Day to remember the Kimberley Stolen Generation Aboriginal People and their families.

The colour purple symbolises healing and we encourage you to go by and reflect on Australia’s journey towards Reconciliation.

If you are in Broome it’s well worth taking a walk past the Shire Building with your family.
